So are you ready to start seeing RESULTS and have your body CHANGE for the better?
BENEFITS OF EXERCISING OUTDOORS Vs GOING TO THE GYM
Locations vary from beautiful beaches, to picturesque parks! Which is perfect for your body as running on a variety of surfaces is much easier on your joints than running on the one hard surface. Cross training is ideal – mixing it up between pavement, grass and sand.
The list of benefits with exercising outdoors are endless. The natural light is known to elevate your mood and make you feel energised. Sunlight also helps set your body’s internal clock so your body knows when to eat & sleep. Increased Vitamin D production also makes your bones stronger, and also helps fight depression and heart disease.
The sun also affects our endocrine system - the part of our body which secretes endorphins - the natural chemicals in our body designed to make us feel relaxed and less stressed.
Just being able to connect with nature and disconnect from technology for a good solid hour of your day will do wonders for your body and mind.
BENEFITS OF EXERCISING BY THE BEACH
Studies show that sea air is charged with healthy negative ions that accelerate our ability to absorb oxygen. Negative ions also balance levels of seratonin, a body chemical linked with mood and stress - which is why after a work out on the beach you feel more alert, relaxed and energised.
When working out on the sand, each exercise will be more challenging as the sand ‘gives a little', which adds resistance to your exercise increasing the intensity. Due to this extra resistance, you will burn more calories than working out on a hard surface so great way to burn fat quicker!!
